wow, that’s not supposed to do that. When you say the main nut, do you mean the large 20something mm nut that holds the ramp plate on or the lil 14mm guy that holds the whole thing on the crank? It could be that the bearings in your variator are seized and therefore not allowing the vario to spin freely of the crank. Pull your variator off and check inside to see if the bearing inside the clutch bell is spinning smoothly.
